After another exhausting day yesterday, Patty was glad that he got more than 10 hours of sleep. He almost didn’t make it to his bed yesterday, having only 1.98 energy left in his system. If it weren’t for Grammo personally pushing him to his house, he wouldn’t have been able to go home without possibly dying.

It was worth it, though. He successfully blackmailed the system into giving him an SSS+class ability that allowed him to copy Teqx from those people he touched. He also gained a lot of Credits when he fought Griff’s lackeys, which he can use to buy a lot of things in the System Store. Then, he also unlocked another SSS+class Physique that somehow allowed him to break a Fiendish Armament down to its atoms without even touching it.

Not only that, he also taught Griff and his lackeys what would happen if they messed with him. He would headbutt them again if they tried to say that he wasn’t lazy again.

He also found out the reason for Grammo’s dream. It was tragic. But he didn’t understand why Grammo didn't just forget about his past. It was exhausting to always be sad and depressed about your past, and waste energy worrying and crying about nothing. After all, Grammo couldn’t change his past; it already happened. Patty was too lazy to be worrying about the past, no matter how tragic it was.

Unfortunately, Griff was able to destroy Grammo’s dream. He now had the D-class Poison Breath, a Power Teqx that was designed to be used in combat. Even if he tried to sing and go the Fame route, he wouldn’t go very far. The probability of Grammo fulfilling his dream to become a famous worldwide singer turned from 0.000001 percent to 0 percent. He was now stuck on the Power route, whether he liked it or not.

Patty couldn’t do anything about that, and even the system was silent about it, too. Patty could only focus on himself and what he could do. Speaking of which, he just remembered about his new stats.

[Earth Aura: 0/1000]

[Water Aura: 0/1000]

[Fire Aura: 0/1000]

[Air Aura: 0/1000]

[Light Aura: 0/1000]

[Dark Aura: 0/1000]

He didn’t know what these aura did, but at least he could still use Yi Power to upgrade them. Since he still had extra Yi Power, he decided to use them all up. If his previous body part upgrades were already that strong, then these aurae must also be something really good.

[Earth Aura: 23/1000]

[Water Aura: 23/1000]

[Fire Aura: 22/1000]

[Air Aura: 22/1000]

[Light Aura: 22/1000]

[Dark Aura: 22/1000]

[Yi Power: 0]

Now that he filled up the stats in his new physique, Patty decided to test it out. Just like yesterday, he felt like he could finally replicate the feeling when he grabbed the Fiendish Armament yesterday. It felt like he had a new limb. It was invisible, but he could feel it. When he closed his eyes and concentrated as hard as he could, nothing was happening. It felt like he was constipated. The harder he pushed, the more stuck it was.

Patty tried as hard as he could for a minute, then he immediately gave up. If he can’t use this new power, then he won’t use it. He was not the type to force things to happen, because it would be too much effort.

Whatever, Patty thought. He was just going to watch television and relax for a while. He looked down at his bed and saw his remote on the other side. Without even thinking about it, Patty wanted to grab the remote with his hands. And so, his mind signaled his neurons to fire and instructed his muscles to move and stretch.

But something wrong happened. The signal that was supposed to be sent to the muscles suddenly disappeared and was sent into a different part of his body. This body part was invisible to the physical world, but it was there attached to his back in between his shoulder blades.

This invisible ‘thing’ reached over and grabbed the remote. It was only when the remote landed on Patty’s hands did something finally clicked in his mind. He realized that his arm didn’t move, but the remote still floated from the other side of the bed into his hands. And it wasn’t just a simple grab. The remote was buried under the sheets, and he remembered unfurling them to ‘grab’ the remote.

He realized this was the same feeling he had yesterday when he ‘caught’ the Fiendish Armament in the air. Back then, he wasn’t thinking too! His mind was empty and his mind was just moving without any rhyme or reason.

This was his new power! What was a lazy man’s dream superpower? It was telekinesis! This invisible arm was his way to have the powers of a poltergeist or a psychic. The best part about it was that he didn’t have to use any effort or any energy to command the invisible arm. He just needed to think about what he wanted it to do, and it would follow his command.

If he wanted to grab water from the fridge, then the refrigerator door would suddenly open and a water bottle would float up from the side door and land on his hand! This was a revolutionary way to become even lazier! At least, if he was able to upgrade the aura more.

From what he could tell, there was a limit to how far his telekinetic power worked. He also couldn’t grab incredibly heavy things like the television just yet, he was limited to small objects that could be carried with both hands. But still, it was so much better than the tedious task of leaving the bed, walking a few steps, getting the thing he wanted, and going back to bed!

For his invisible arm to work, he needed to ‘not think’. He needed his mind to control the arm like how it instructed his heart to beat or how his lungs deflated to let the air out. For other people, this would be a hard task to do. Humans were made to overthink, which was the exact opposite of how to control the invisible arm. But for Patty, it was just second nature. He was already lazy, and his brain was just waiting for the chance to lower its burden.

Patty shouldn’t have put all of his Yi Power into every aura in one go. He should have gone one by one to see what effect it had on his invisible hand, but it was already too late. Well, that was one of the downsides of ‘not thinking’. It didn’t matter though because he could easily get more Yi Power later on.

For now, he just had to focus on his missions. Before going to school, Patty made sure to finish all 6 daily missions.

[Get 8 hours of sleep 8/8]

Patty had to go to school because he still hadn’t found a way to help Grammo. Even though the situation looked helpless, Grammo didn’t seem all that depressed when they went home yesterday. He even looked like he smiled a little bit.

Did he turn crazy, Patty thought to himself. After all, after going through all of that, it was normal for people to either be angry or very sad.

Even Patty was getting a little bit worried that they wouldn’t be able to fix his singing problem. But thankfully though, they still had 5 days left to think of an alternative. That was enough time for them to find a miracle. Hopefully.

And as he thought that, Patty clicked yes and closed his eyes.

—--------------

When Patty opened his eyes, he was pleasantly surprised to see that he was already sitting in his seat in the classroom. Usually, the system would stop at the entrance of the school and make him walk to the classroom, but it looked like the system was feeling generous today.

But then, he saw something that shouldn’t be happening.

“Are you sure you’re ready to sing, Grammo?” Professor Ortez asked Grammo, who was already standing in front of the class with a microphone in his hands.

“Yes. We don’t need to wait till the end of the week. I’ll sing today,” Grammo casually said.

WHAT.
