“Hahaha… I’ve been talking too much. My apologies. Well then, I’ll assist you with the process.”

The elf employee bowed politely once again, then resumed performing his original duties with a commercial smile.

With the help of the employee, Taehyung, after completing the membership registration process, opened his inventory.

“This is really my first time properly using the inventory.”

The inventory, an exclusive item for awakened individuals in the system. How long had it been just sitting in his house, and now only after several months could he finally make use of this privilege?

“Um… Can I help?”

“No, it’s okay.”

Though he had grown accustomed to the discomfort of having only one arm, situations like this made him keenly realize the importance of having both limbs intact.

Like struggling to pull out crumpled bills from a jeans pocket, Taehyung painstakingly extracted items one by one with his intact right arm.

What he retrieved were several leather pouches, each bulging with contents.

“This… smells familiar.”

As the employee sniffed and untied the strings of the leather pouches, inside was a wooden bowl filled with coagulated blood.

It was troll blood. Taehyung had asked the orcs a month ago to hunt trolls and collect their blood, and this was the result.

“Blood? Could it be troll blood?”

“Yes.”

“All of this?”

“Yes.”

Troll blood. Upon hearing this, the gazes of those nearby focused sharply.

Sensing the sudden attention, Taehyung pulled his hood even deeper over his head.

“Oh, sorry. I raised my voice. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen someone bring this much.”

Perhaps conscious of the attention, the employee lowered his voice and posture.

“Well, there’s no need to answer, but please proceed with the registration quickly.”

“Oh, sorry. Let me do it right away.”

The employee nodded and neatly arranged the items Taehyung had taken out before going into the back office. Five minutes later, he emerged.

“Alright! Registration is complete! You’ll receive a notification by text once the sale is completed.”

“How long will it take?”

“It varies for each item, but something as rare as troll blood will likely sell within a few days. There are many buyers looking for it, like the Alchemy Association or pharmaceutical companies.”

Taehyung nodded.

“Okay then. Thank you for your help.”

“Of course. Please visit us again!”

With that, Taehyung left the shop, and the employee watched his departing figure with a curious tilt of his head.

“Strange. He looks like an ordinary human, but why did he smell like an orc?”

Though he had lived for a long time, it was his first encounter with such a human.

The scent of one’s own race was unmistakable. However, an orc scent emanating from a human body was perplexing.

“It must be the unique forest scent of orcs.”

The orc scent was somewhat similar to the scent of his own race, elves.

To put it simply, it was the scent of nature.

The difference was that while elves had a slight floral scent, orcs smelled more like pine trees.

“Well, whatever. Let’s get back to work.”

The elf shrugged off the thought. The curious human with the orc scent was quickly erased from his mind.

Registering items at the Dimensional Exchange Post turned out to be easier than expected. Apart from the slightly strange elf employee, everything went smoothly.

“As expected, I made the right choice by doing this.”

The idea to sell items came to him after seeing news about a businessman who made a fortune by conducting business between the Afroxia dimension and Earth.

Having engaged in business between the Afroxia dimension and Earth, he found a suitable item to sell. Among them, troll blood seemed the most promising.

“I hope it sells quickly.”

Since the employee said it would take a few days, he would have to wait patiently.

He waited for the bus to go home with an excited heart.

However, at that moment, a message arrived that made his heart flutter.

Ding!

[Your registered item has been reserved.]

[All of your registered items have been sold.]

“Huh?”

Already?

Straight away, he checked the registration history on the Dimensional Exchange Post app.

It had indeed been sold.

Someone had even made a deposit before receiving the items.

Perhaps Taehyung’s item was registered on the dimensional exchange app. As soon as the item was listed, someone must have bought it right away.

As if to prove it, Taehyung’s member information showed a sudden increase in remaining points.

[Dimensional Points: 61,235,874]

Since the exchange is 1 point for 1 won, he earned over 610 million won in one go.

“Jackpot.”

It was supposed to take days, but it sold out in less than an hour?

“Hehe.”

His lips curled upward. Making such a huge amount of money.

That’s why he wanted to become a hunter. It seemed like he understood why hunters risked their lives exploring dangerous dungeons and monster lairs.

“Isn’t this a gold mine?”

Of course, it wasn’t easy to obtain. It was the result of a month-long hunt for trolls by orcs.

But still, Taehyung practically did nothing.

Moreover, this was pure profit without even considering labor or transportation costs.

It wasn’t brought through a dimensional portal, just summoned in a snap!

Of course, taxes would still need to be paid.

Compared to other hunters who heavily invested in equipment and healing items, this was practically a freebie.

“Sorry, orcs, but keep up the good work.”

In return, this guy would invest solidly.

As Taehyung pondered this at the bus stop.

Kaboom!

The ground suddenly shook. People at the bus stop staggered around.

“Uh?”

“An, an earthquake?”

Soon, people understood the reason.

[Monster Appearance Alert!]

Disaster alerts blared simultaneously from people’s phones.

[Cerberus sighting. A new dungeon is estimated to have appeared within Mount Bukhansan. All citizens are urged to evacuate quickly.]

“Cerberus?”

“W-what do we do?”

“W-we have to run!”

People panicked and scrambled around. But Taehyung oddly felt his heart calm amidst the chaos. It surprised even himself.

“A dungeon in Mount Bukhansan. Then…”

It’s right in front of him. He could actually encounter monsters.

“Growl!”

Suddenly, the sound of a beast echoed.

Like a roar from a predator touching the depths of fear in one’s heart.

“Growl!”

Sure enough, something large emerged from the alley behind the bus stop.

A three-headed hellhound, Cerberus.

Not just one, but two.

“Aaaah!”

As people screamed and fled, Taehyung muttered to himself.

“This is screwed.”

Why did something like this happen when he decided to go out?

Taehyung swallowed hard.

Facing Cerberus up close was truly overwhelming.

The monstrous size, akin to a lion or a tiger, sharp claws and teeth evident.

A creature that could tear human bodies apart as if they were pieces of paper was slowly approaching him.

Taehyung was too overwhelmed to even think of escaping. He even forgot to summon Karim or Gloki.

Step. Step.

And then.

“Growl!”

Cerberus leaped fiercely.

“Gasp!”

Taehyung jerked his body in terror, barely dodging. And then he was astonished.

“I dodged?”

And so agilely?

He realized he was much more composed than he thought.

The movements of the two Cerberus were clearly visible to him.

“They’re fast? No, even if they are, how did I dodge that?”

One thing was certain.

They weren’t as threatening as he thought.

At least not to the current Taehyung.

“Stay calm. I don’t know what’s going on, but for now, it’s dodgeable.”

Avoiding the charging Cerberus as if performing acrobatics, Taehyung suddenly regained his composure.

Despite being in a situation where a single wrong move could cost him his life, he strangely felt no worry at all. His body moved before his mind could think. It was undeniably strange.

What should we call it? It felt like he had experienced many battles before, perhaps?

“Let’s not summon Karim.”

Karim was in the midst of waging a fierce war. He was expanding his influence to the north. Taehyung wanted him to be able to focus solely on the war.

Taehyung’s choice was Gloki. Using his summoning skill, a faint light appeared, and Gloki materialized on the ground.

“Master. You called, and I have come.”

“Gloki! Can you parasitize that creature?”

“Cerberus. Hellhound. Originally very powerful. But currently weakened. It’s definitely possible.”

Taehyung’s face brightened.

“Alright!”

If Gloki had said it wasn’t possible, Taehyung would have attempted to summon a swarm of his giant wasps. But it seemed unnecessary now.

“Okay! Absorb that one!”

“Understood.”

Thud! Thud!

Gloki bounced and promptly entered the mouth of one of the Cerberus.

“Grrr!”

One of the Cerberus’ heads thrashed wildly. It immediately began to devour the head next to it. In no time, one Cerberus fell ferociously to the ground.

“It worked!”

One down. But there was still one left.

The unharmed Cerberus relentlessly targeted Taehyung’s head as if nothing else mattered.

“Huh, avoiding one is definitely easier.”

Dealing with two heads was much easier than dealing with two whole creatures. It felt almost effortless.

Then, the fallen Cerberus suddenly got back up.

And unexpectedly, it started attacking the adjacent Cerberus.

“Huh?”

Taehyung realized what was happening.

“Gloki is parasitizing the Cerberus and controlling it!”

Instantly, a battle between the Cerberus began. Taehyung stepped back, catching his breath, and watched the fight.

Six heads and four front paws tore and clawed at each other. Blood sprayed everywhere.

After about five minutes of continued battle, a victor was finally determined.

One Cerberus had its life extinguished. The surviving Cerberus was not in good condition either.

Torn apart and covered in blood.

But suddenly, the surviving Cerberus’ body started shrinking rapidly.

“Gloki absorbed the Cerberus!”

The shriveled Cerberus finally collapsed, and Kroggy popped out of its mouth. It landed softly on Taehyung’s shoulder.

“Did I do well?”

“You did great. Really well.”

“Hehehe.”

Gloki bounced happily on Taehyung’s shoulder.

“Phew.”

Fatigue rushed over him. Taehyung sank to the ground.

“I’m exhausted.”

When will the other hunters arrive? They should have come earlier.

As he complained, a bright glow appeared in front of Taehyung.

“What’s this?”

And three figures emerged.

Their presence was all too familiar.

“Lord! Lord is in danger!”

“Let’s save our Lord!”

It was Karim and his orcs underlings, Kakul and Kukul.

The orcs looked around frantically, brandishing their axes, until they spotted Taehyung.

“Who dares to target our Lord!”

“Lord! Lord is in danger… huh?”

“Karim?”

The eyes of the orcs and Taehyung met.

“Why are you guys here?”

Did they not summon separately?
