A new day dawned, and everything went on with absolute normality. The familiar routine of daily chores unfolded without hitches or shocks.

After the exciting and exhausting constant events in the war zone, that brief interlude of calm was almost welcome. I was able to dedicate the day to regaining strength, both physically and mentally.

But suddenly something made me quickly remove the crystal from my arm.

In the adaptations section, some new adaptations appeared, usually I would be happy but this time I was worried,

(infrared radiation +100%)

(electromagnetic radiation +100%)

It seems that although it was supposed to be safe apart from possible burns, I have been receiving radiation damage, so I decide to search for information again about infrared energy, this time focusing more on whether it can or lead me to develop cancer.

But after my search I discover that not only is it highly unlikely to develop cancer due to this type of energy, but it is even used to treat cancer, by heating and killing cancer cells.

In fact, it is one of the safest types of electromagnetic radiation, so I calm down once again, realizing that this could be an opportunity, since with this I could improve my healing ability against electromagnetic radiation, safely.

Keeping in mind that skin cancer is caused by this type of radiation, it's something quite good.

With this, I decide to use the same old method I used with the corrosive crystal, embedding the crystal in my arm until my adaptation is at 500%, then embedding it in my stomach. The only problem is that the crystal without fragmenting is a little big and a tenth part sticks out of my arm, but it's better than having it taped.

After this, I continue my day as usual, and in doing so, after remembering that I haven't bought a new military suit, and seeing my camouflage cape in poor condition, I decide to see if I can buy some self-repairing clothing in the system store.

[Self-repairing camouflage clothing 2000c]

[Enchanted and self-repairing camouflage cape 2700c]

And surprisingly there it was but since this stingy system doesn't give me many coins, I can't afford both, after all I need 4,700 coins, and I only have 4,311.

So I decide to only buy the self-repairing clothing, I'll have to sew my cape for now, at least until I get the 389 coins I'm missing, although that would leave me without a single coin and it's better to have something in case I urgently need an item, so I'll have to get around 500 coins before buying a new one.

Feeling desolate by the system's stinginess once again, I continue repairing my cape, before continuing the routine I do when I'm not going to the warzone.

After a light breakfast, I put on my electrician's uniform and gathered my tools in my toolbox.

I drove to the central offices of the electric company where I work. I signed in and reviewed the work orders for the day. I had a couple calls to check electrical systems in residences, as well as a larger job at a local small business.

My first stop was a house where the owner reported flickering lights. After inspecting the main electrical panel, I traced the problem to a loose wire in the attic. I secured the wiring and the lights stopped flickering.

I then headed to the small business, where I performed a complete inspection of their electrical system. I found a couple minor code violations that needed to be corrected. I made the necessary repairs to bring them into compliance.

During breaks, I took the opportunity to review more information about infrared radiation and its potential harmful effects. I took notes and planned to investigate further when I got home that night.

After a long workday, I finally returned home exhausted but satisfied with having fulfilled my work responsibilities in such a short time, after all I try to finish everything so I can go to the war zone every other day. Although my mind continued to worry about the infrared crystal, so I checked my panel just in case, focusing on my daily routine as an electrician provided a welcome respite.

At night, after an exhausting workday, I set about preparing everything to go to the war zone again tomorrow. Although at this point there isn't much to prepare, I checked my equipment and supplies once again to make sure I had everything I needed.

Then I turned on my laptop to search for the news for new information regarding those system users who accepted the government's proposal and about the protocols they follow when they discover someone who did not accept their proposal.

The news showed several interviews with people who had accepted the government's offer. They all spoke wonders about the benefits they had received and how happy they were with their decision. However, something about their faces and overly rehearsed comments seemed suspicious to me.

It was almost as if they were only allowed to talk about good and positive things. Any criticism or doubt seemed to be carefully omitted from their statements. I wondered what might have happened to those who dared to dissent or express negative opinions.

The news also briefly mentioned the protocols for dealing with the "dissidents" who rejected the government proposal. Although the details were vague, the images of people being forcibly detained, by what appeared to be other system users, made me nervous. It was chilling to think of the possible consequences of non-compliance.

Despite the official claims that everything was being done for the common good, I could not help but feel skeptical about so much one-sided propaganda. I decided to remain alert and cautious as I continued delving into the mysteries of the system.
