Announcement

i just make somo changes to the story in the first chapter only the start of the chapter to this:

It was another day and William arrived home after a long day at the university, Today was not a good day after all. William just remembered his deceased father. Four years ago, his grandfather died. A year later, his father passed away, and another year after that, his grandmother died.

Due to the consecutive deaths of these three close family members thinking how one day him and all his loved ones would be nothing but dust, William developed a panic of death, especially when he recalls them .

As usual, he went to bed to rest before preparing dinner. In the silence, he couldn't help but think about the future and how all humans eventually die. This thought caused him fear, and he tried to calm himself. His family is religious, so he began to pray just in case there is an afterlife. In the middle of his panic attack, some words appeared.

[START OF THE SYSTEM] ...

....

the rest don't change

the story of the start was a mix of a comment in royalroad of hungryskate and my personal story, in real life my father my grandfather died some years ego. A year later, his father passed away, and another year after that, my grandmother.

that was the real part, also the part that i have fear to death.

"Got it. Going back to the war zone, will more variants appear? And how long will it take for them to show up?"

"Yes, as far as I know, there are about 10 variants in total, including the basic ones. The speed at which they appear depends on the number of resurrection points."

"If I've destroyed seven in total, how long will it take?"

"They will start appearing one by one over the course of about two years."

"That long?"

"Actually, it's quite fast. Normally it takes between 8 to 9 years, although if you keep destroying resurrection points, they will appear faster. This is something I don't recommend."

"Why? I thought that the stronger the variant, the faster I would level up."

"Yes, but if too many variants come at once, the difficulty will increase drastically. It's better to avoid destroying resurrection points before your third evolution."

"Got it. I'll follow your advice, I don't want to take unnecessary risks."

"Good."

"By the way, which is the next variant to appear?"

"The next variants will be ones focused on a specific aspect."

"Isn't that the same as the basic variants?"

"Yes and no. Besides the normal lorgs, the elite ones, and the alpha lorgs, the rest are specialized variants."

"Why except those three?"

"Because they are balanced in strength, agility, and toughness. They're like basic soldiers, even if they have different powers."

"I see. And the specialized lorgs?"

"They will appear with one very high stat, but the rest will be a bit lower than the average lorgs."

"I get it, like a lorg with a lot of strength but weaker in other areas."

"Yes, apart from those, there's another variant, which is the ranged attack and area attack variant."

"I see, so it'll be increasingly difficult to attack them in groups, considering they seem to have some tactics now."

"Correct. In fact, the higher their stage, the smarter they are. Not to mention, the last variant is intelligent regardless of its stage."

"Which one?"

"The noble lorgs. They are rare to find in the war zone, but whenever there's a major invasion, they appear, except in the first major invasion."

"Major invasion? I suppose these are large-scale invasions. When will the first one be?"

"Do you remember there's an invasion coming in a little over three weeks?"

"Yes, is that the first major invasion?"

"Yes. I wanted to tell you later so you wouldn't worry too much, but well..."

"Is it very big?"

"All cities and towns in the world with over a million people will be invaded."

"....huh?"

"I know it's bad. The good thing is that the number of gates appearing in each city varies according to the general power and defensive capacity of the city or town."

"That... doesn't sound too bad."

"Yes, but there will still be thousands of deaths."

"In any case, I'm working to spread rumors that an invasion is coming soon, worldwide. Although I've only recently started, it doesn't seem to have much effect yet. I hope it helps when the invasion comes."

"And where do you plan to fight?"

"In the city where you are. In fact, I plan to bring Leonard there too."

"...Didn't you say the number of gates that appear depends on the city's fighting capacity? Bringing strong people will cause more harm to the city."

"I know, and also the strength of the lorgs depends on the power of the superhumans in the area."

"...If you know this, why bring him? Because that way, other places will have fewer gates and the lorgs will be weaker there."

"I see, sacrificing one city to help another."

"Basically. Also, it's known that there's a limit to the lorgs that can enter the planet."

"What kind of limit? In quantity or strength?"

"Both. So by concentrating many gates and many lorgs in one city, the rest of the world will face fewer difficulties. It's a common practice in the future."

"I see, but I suppose in the future they didn't do this in a city."

"No, they gathered all possible superhumans in a pre-prepared battlefield."

"And why do you say superhumans instead of system users?"

"That's because, twelve hours before the invasion, everyone will have access to the system."

"Eh, really?"

"Yes, but it won't be what you think. It will be different from the system we have, for some more than others."

"What changes?"

"For the majority of people, it will only have the shop and levels, and that's it."

"No talent or skills?"

"No, none of that. For the luckier ones, they will have talent and skills; these are known as talent users."

"So there will be people like us?"

"No, we are known as prime users. We are the ones who got the system before the first major invasion, and we have two benefits."

"What benefits?"

"First, all of us are talent users, although that might not be a benefit. Second, we have eight free stat points when leveling up. Third, we receive the mysterious item six months after obtaining the system."

"I see, how many points does everyone else get?"

"Seven."

"That's it? Just one point?"

"Yes, but it makes a difference for people like you."

"Like me?"

"People who want to keep their stats balanced but still want to have a very high stat."

"True, and despite being just one extra point, it accumulates with each level."

"Exactly, in the end, we have 50 extra points."

"Why only 50?"

"Because it's the level cap."

"Really? I thought the level cap would be higher."

"Many thought so, but no. After level 50, the only way to progress is through the paths."

"So I can only have five evolutions of my talent?"

"Yes and no. The fifth evolution, which happens at level 50, requires a condition."

"What condition?"

"I won't tell you, not now," she says with a mysterious and playful voice.

"Seriously, you're not going to tell me now?"

"No one has been able to meet it anyway, and the system will tell you when you reach level 50."

"So it's a very difficult condition, requiring a lot of strength, time, or luck, maybe a combination of these factors."

"...You really are the smartest."

"I thought that was still up for debate."

"I consider you to be."

"Whatever... By the way, another question. During the assault on the resurrection point, there was a time when everything seemed to move in slow motion."

"Oh, you mean the zone, or as it's known in the future, battle concentration."

"Zone, like what happens to athletes when they are fully focused?"

"Exactly. This only happens when you are fully focused in a fight, and it seems like everything moves slowly, but it's better to say that you think very quickly."

"I see, is it common in the future?"

"Very. Anyone who has been through the war zone for a year has experienced it in tough battles."

"But I've been through tough battles and this hasn't happened before."

"Yes, but it only happens in long and difficult battles at the same time."

"I see, and there's no way to activate it voluntarily?"

"There is. You just need to focus to the maximum."

"And that's it?"

"It's easier said than done. After all, it's almost never possible to concentrate to the maximum."

"True... No trick or anything?"

"Aside from going through battle concentration often, there are techniques and items, but they are expensive and not worth it."

"I see."

With this, our longest conversation ends. A conversation full of important information despite the casual tone of both. Finally, I focus on sharpening my weapons to have them ready at all times.

Afterward, I think about what I can improve. Remembering that I tried to recover my energy without the need to meditate, I decide it's a good training method, so I proceed to try doing it, at least while I'm at home.
