The sword glowed with a sacred radiance, cutting through the Lorgs like a hot knife through butter. The enemies' screams filled the air as I advanced, slashing and cutting down anything in my path. I was a whirlwind of steel and fury, an unstoppable force amid the sea of enemies.

The Lorgs tried to surround me, attempting to overwhelm me with their numbers, but I kept moving with astonishing speed and precision. Each strike, each cut, was lethal, thanks to the momentum of the spinning swords. The bodies of the Lorgs piled up around me, but I pressed on, carving my way through the horde.

When too many Lorgs surrounded me, I used Wave of Light, combined with my sword, to deal area damage that killed a large number of them. Despite fighting for hours—starting at dawn and now well into the night—the sheer number of Lorgs was overwhelming.

Fortunately, I finally reached a point where the density of Lorgs was lower, signaling a potential decrease in their numbers. Of course, they didn't just vanish; they continued charging at me, and I encountered various Lorg variants, some less common than others.

The fight continued well into the night. A normal person couldn't keep going, but I wasn't normal. Not only could I sense their position through their energy, but my heightened senses allowed me to see and detect all the Lorgs despite the low light. Even if that weren't the case, I was accustomed to fighting in dark war zones.

When only a few Lorgs remained—by "few," I mean a few hundred near me—I decided to move further from Emily's base. One major annoyance of this battle, if not the main one, was the buff Lorgs. Knowing I hadn't encountered any yet and observing that Lorgs were swarming in from other parts of the city, I deduced that the buff Lorgs must be nearby but not in the battlefield itself. These Lorgs could enhance their comrades' abilities from a distance without entering the fray.

Though I doubted they were too far, given that the battlefield spanned 20 to 30 streets in each direction—about a kilometer in radius—Lorgs would take time to cover that distance. I wasn't sure how long the buffs lasted, but they likely wore off before the Lorgs could damage the base, which was disadvantageous for them. Most Lorgs would die before reaching the base, but that wasn't the point.

I quickly reached the battlefield's edge. It was strange that I hadn't encountered any gates, suggesting they had likely been closed, at least those near the tourist area. Still, I hadn't found any buff Lorgs, so I moved further from the base until I detected one in a building. Upon closer inspection, I noticed more than one in the same building.

It was time to change tactics. The best way to handle them was stealthily. Using my stealth technique, I approached the Lorg unnoticed as it continued buffing nearby Lorgs. I began shooting regular arrows to avoid alerting them and triggering their annoying shields.

Thanks to this strategy and the fact that they were spread across different parts of the building, delaying their reaction time, I managed to eliminate nearly all the Lorgs before they activated their shields. When they did, I used the same tactic as with the rampaging Lorgs—spinning my swords at high speed with the chain extended before launching a Wave of Light along with the spinning swords.

This proved effective again, wiping out all traces of the nearby Lorgs. However, this tactic had the disadvantage of consuming a lot of sacred energy and taking time to build up the spinning speed.

After dealing with this group of buff Lorgs, I continued searching for more, circling the battlefield and finding two more groups of Lorgs, which I eliminated the same way. Then I decided to return to the base, killing every Lorg I encountered on the way.

Night had fully set in by the time I reached Emily's base. The various buildings and barricades were illuminated by strategically placed lights to keep any approaching enemies at bay. As I neared the base, a few Lorgs were still charging toward it, but nothing to worry about. I crossed the security perimeter and felt a wave of relief, knowing I could finally rest after nearly 20 hours of continuous fighting.

Still, I headed to the building where I first met Emily. She was there, looking much more exhausted. The eight people present looked somewhat relieved, though one person besides Emily caught my attention. I recognized them instantly, but before I could act, Emily spoke to me.

"Are you always going to enter like this?" she asked.

"… Maybe," I replied.

Immediately, six of the people tensed and turned to look at me, though one remained relaxed and simply observed me. This person was the one I recognized from the start.

He stood and walked toward me, extending his hand. "I'm Leonard Ali Tyson, and you are?"

"I'm William Sabogal," I said, shaking his hand.
