Chapter 11: Entering the Frozen World

The rain slowly fell from the sky, the downpour speeding up. Connecting to the safe borders of the Dome Nation was a Desolate area. An area that was previously conquered during the revolution Era; however, after the second Monster Wave on the city, this portion was left out, marked as a Desolate area. It lived up to its name—an area where almost no monsters or humans existed, just dangerous ruins with structures threatening to collapse at any second.

Strangely, in that area was a small store. A store that was perfectly fine, in fact, had a slight glimmer, as if it was built just a few days ago. On its entrance was a 3D digital billboard that read - [Chaos Forge].

This small store truly lived up to its name; even in this chaotic region, this Forge remained standing. Inside, it was a peaceful scene. A man in his twenties, with a neatly shaved face, wearing a three-piece black-colored formal suit, enjoying his tea as the rhythmical sound of rain echoed. The suit had a hint of Victorian aura in it but wasn't built by traditional methods.

Stirring the cup of fancy-looking tea, he took a sip of it. Slowly, a satisfied expression appeared on his face. The usual blue light in the shop wasn't present; instead, it had turned into lighter shades of red according to this man's wishes.

Placing the cup of tea back on the counter, the man stood up, resisting the urge to stretch. This was just another day in Allen's life—sitting idly and then trying to find a customer. If, by chance, any customer entered the shop, then trying the best to scam and acting like a big shot.

Rule #1: To scam someone successfully, appear like a trustworthy, kind-hearted, and intellectual master, or in the words of a reader - Ultimate Bigshot.

This was Allen's daily life for the past twenty days, an 'ordinary' store owner's slice of life in the apocalypse.

But the peaceful atmosphere was abruptly ruined by the sudden conversation between Allen and his system.

"System, you really are a b!tch."

[Huh?]

"Not allowing me to go out," he complained in an irritated voice. This was a rule given by the system. Before he completed twenty golden System missions or tasks, he could only move around a five-meter radius of the Forge. He could just helplessly remain inside the shop, only seeing the ruins all day long. Even the humans he talked to were either abnormal or complete lunatics.

[Host, I understand your frustration. But what does this have to do with female dogs?]

"..."

His day had been ruined; the urge to facepalm was irresistible. Allen opened and closed his mouth multiple times, at the end just sighing helplessly.

"Forget it."

[???]

He continued talking with his system as he walked inside the kitchen. Tapping a few holographic buttons of the automatic dishwasher, which looked like a box, Allen placed his teacup inside the opening of the box. After a few seconds, the teacup came back.

Allen did not exit the kitchen; instead, he walked towards the fridge present in the kitchen. There was a red button on the handle of the fridge, strangely urging people to press it.

However, Allen didn't do so. Instead, he said in a soft voice.

"Interface..."

The next second, a holographic screen popped up in front of Allen's face.

Allen's eyes stung as he looked at the interface. A lot of information was just jotted down, and the words were minimized so that they could fit on a single panel.

Those letters were so small that they looked like ants walking in a line. Overall, this system panel looked very messy, not organized properly. Allen's eyes would automatically twitch whenever he looked at this interface.

This made him even more sure that this gullible and sloppy system was the one who designed it personally.

'Ah, God of the system, God of transmigration, whoever is up there. You people are doing a real bad job; if I could, then I would've given a negative 10 stars out of 5!' Allen grumbled humorously.

Shaking his head, Allen then looked at the last part of the panel, seeing the system missions. More specifically, a task for which he had opened this interface and tortured his eyes.

Mission: Most Popular Weapon Store

Rank: Gold

Description: Build your weapon store branch in another world and successfully popularize it.

Completion: 12%

At every level up, Allen would get a lucky spin, using which he could randomly select a new world.

Shaking his head and getting rid of such thoughts, Allen shook his head and then looked at the fridge. Taking one final breath, he pressed the red-colored button on its handle. Multiple organized white-colored lines ran through the fridge, as a whistling sound echoed from it.

Ding!

[Door to Frozen World! Activated!]

'This is just like Anywhere door.' Allen laughed dryly as he finally opened the door. A blinding white light radiated from within the fridge, blinding Allen temporarily.

A chilling sensation spread through his body, as the frosty air followed the radiant white light, bringing a lot of snow along with it. The snow covered Allen's face, making a funny-looking snowy mustache and beard.

Allen touched his face, wiping away the snow. His body slightly shivered, but he quickly used mana to form an invisible coat over him. A frown slowly formed on his face.

The next second, he went to the [item] panel in the interface. There were a few guns and equipment present in this panel; however, it was mostly filled with different outfits.

He finally found the outfit he was looking for.

Name: Winter coat [Image...]

Level: 2

Type: Normal

Ability: None

Stretching his palm, Allen clicked on the image of an oversized winter coat with a hood that possessed white fur. He also clicked on the winter shirt, pant, and shoes.

Pixels surrounded Allen's body. The suit disappeared, and the pixels formed the winter outfit. A white-colored M1903, also named the Wind Rifle, an uncommon Level 2 weapon, appeared in his hand.

Taking a deep breath, Allen entered the frozen world, where he could possibly be a big shot, a real big shot for the species inside this world if he worked hard enough!

But for now, he had to check what this new trouble was.

Naturally, as a 'Weak' transmigrator, a new chapter in Allen's life called for fresh troubles...

A/N: Comment down, whose story should I use for the upcoming Legacy carriers? It could be anyone, you just need to comment and I will decide and do research to go ahead with either of them.
